Bette Tippett, 83, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2014. Bette was born at home in Negaunee, Michigan, on March 6, 1931, to Doug and Myrtle Tippett.
She grew up in Negaunee and Ishpeming, graduating from Ishpeming High School in 1949. She went on to attend the University of Michigan
. Bette loved reading, traveling (especially exploring the rich history in the United Kingdom), collegiate sports, and shopping. Being part of the Cornish Society and Church Women United and spending time with her many friends was time she enjoyed .
Bette loved and cherished her family. She is survived by her children, Lisa (Blair) Tatrault, Sarah (Dave) Kohtala, John (Pat) Kulie and Jennifer Kulie; her grandchildren, Adrian Tatrault, Melissa (Dugan) Freeman, Luke (Natalie) Kohtala, Laura (Aaron LaFave) Kohtala, Paige Kulie, Doug Kulie, and Amy (Jeff) Niemi; great-grandchildren, Colin, Megan, Dylan, Ella and Evan; also her sister, Mollie (Dale) Corlett.
A private service is planned for August 9.
