Carr, Charles "Chuck"

Charles H. Carr, age 84, of Appleton, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Brewster Village in Appleton. Chuck was born to Jack and Sybil (Wiggins) Carr on April 30, 1928 in Mobile, Alabama. Charles served his country during The Korean War in the Marine Corps. On July 12, 1949, Chuck married Geraldine Oliger and together they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. He was a Korean War veteran and became a military buff. During his tour, he was part of an unsuccessful rescue of his buddy, John Goery. On Chuck's 75th birthday, he was given the gift of a red motor scooter. He planned a detailed trip to his hometown of Mobile, making sure to keep his journey off of the highways, due to his failing health, he was not able to take that trip however.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Geraldine, children; Debbie (Bob) Ludka, Dennis (Donna) Carr, Denise Carr and Diane Carr, grandchildren; Tammy (Bob) Burdick, Brian (fiancée Tracy Gloudemans), Jack (fiancée Tracy Bergmann) and Sarah (Mike) Venaccio, great grandchildren; Cassidy, Hailee, Foster, Chloe, Maia and Ian.
