Caple, Douglas Wallace
Born to life on this Earth September 1, 1948 in Neenah. Continued on in Eternal Life June 20, 2013 in Appleton.
Doug lived life to the fullest. "Over the top." He loved growing up in Neenah and graduated from Neenah High School in 1967. He continued his education at UW-Whitewater graduating in 1972 and at New York University
. He loved the TKE fraternity; they are brothers forever. Doug designed his dream wedding to Gail Bowers Blakeslee on May 8, 1986 on a chartered 42 ft. sailboat in St. Johns, U.S. Virgin Islands. His passions were love of family, running, sailing, boating (Toy Boat Toy Boat Toy Boat), sports cars, traveling, gardening, photography, love of learning and the Green Bay Packers. Doug's dream was to finish his book, The Past Present and Future of Human Kind, in his author's trailer. He had a vast passion for helping others.
Doug is survived by his loving wife Gail; children: Ashley and Ryan (Preetha) and sister Judi (Tom) Brown. He is further survived by a large extended family and friends, Little Brother Richie, and Barclay and Bow.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ira and Edith Caple, mother-in-law Nana, and Sunny and Simba.
Private services were held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established for the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America and the Fox Valley Humane Society.
