Edwin A. Kalfahs Jr.
Edwin A. Kalfahs Jr., age 85, of Neenah passed away on Friday morning, February 22, 2013 at Matthews Kilkenny House in Neenah. He was born on October 3, 1927 in Neenah, son of the late Edwin and Hulda (Jersild) Kalfahs. After high school, Ed proudly served his country with the United States Navy
. On August 20, 1949 he married Lois Cramer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah, and their marriage was blessed with three daughters, two sons, and more than 63 years. Ed was the co-owner of Jersild Knitting Company. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Ed was an avid boater, he enjoyed biking, walking, golfing, and was quite an athlete in his younger years. In the later years, Ed and Lois loved to share their Florida home with their entire family. Above all, Ed was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Lois; his daughters: Laura K. (Mark) Brill, Minnetonka, MN, Kalen K. (James) Theusch, Franksville, WI, Sarah K (Lance) Clough, Neenah; sons: John C. (Darlene), Neenah; Edwin III "Win", Madison; grandchildren: Katie, Peder, Paul, Kimberly, Kristyn, Adam, Tyler; great grandchildren: Treyton, Norah, Andrew; sister, Mary (George) Aker, Reno, NV; brother, John [who actually passed away the day after his brother, Edwin] (Joan) Kalfahs, Phoenix, AZ.
The Memorial Service for Edwin will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church (200 N. Commercial Street, Neenah) with Rev. Paul L. Holte officiating. Friends will be received on Monday afternoon at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.
