The true joy in his life was his family. Jerry was a kind, considerate and giving person who gave himself to other people first. He was a member of the Fox Valley Vietnam Veterans' Association and volunteered many hours at Appleton Medical Center. He loved to fly fish and made treks to Canada every spring to enjoy the fishing there. He was a member of the Theiler hunting camp in Lac du Flambeau, WI. He loved the open road and riding his beloved Harley. He often went for breakfast and frequently picked up other peoples' tabs anonymously. Jerry was a hugger when he said hello or good bye-it was always with a hug. He was the first one to offer help and the last one to accept it.
