Kenneth "Ken" G. Kiar
Kenneth "Ken" G. Kiar, 88, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Peabody Manor. Ken was born on April 14, 1925 in Tomahawk to Theodore and Rose (Moran) Kiar. Ken was a veteran having served in the US Navy. He worked at Appleton Papers in Combined Locks Mill until his retirement in 1990. Ken was a good cook and enjoyed crosswords and watching old westerns. He also enjoyed spending time at Bass Lake and going out to his favorite restaurants. Most of all Ken enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and he always had a nickname for everyone.
Ken is survived by his five children; Carol (Jeff) Clark of Neenah, Kathy (Mark) Wildenberg of Kaukauna, Patricia Koch of Neenah, Kenneth (special friend Sue) Kiar of Oshkosh, Fred (Judi) Kiar of Little Chute, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a sister Marge Bura and a brother Teddy Kiar, his favorite dog Bella, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Mark Kiar, and his siblings, Virgina, Ila, Allie, Ione, June, Lucille, Bob, and Norm.
In keeping with Ken's wishes the family will hold a private service at a later time.
