Schoepke, LeRoy A.

LeRoy A. Schoepke, age 68 of the Town of Richmond, Shawano, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 6, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness.

LeRoy was born May 7, 1945 in New London, WI a son of the late Arthur and Martha (Riske) Schoepke.

He attended the Shawano Schools, graduating from Shawano High School in 1963. After graduation he was employed at Marion Body Works for several years and also farmed. He eventually left Marion Body Works to farm full time in the Town of Richmond.

On February 2, 2000, he was united in marriage to the former Nancy Winter in Shawano. The couple lived and farmed in the town of Richmond since their marriage and LeRoy also helped his son Skeeter at Red Power Equipment.

Work was LeRoy's first love. He enjoyed raising his beef cattle and the shop work with his son, Skeeter.

LeRoy is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of the town of Richmond; three sons, Scott (Janine) of Appleton; Skeeter (Sonya) Schoepke of the town of Richmond; and Shannon (Kelly) Schoepke of Appleton; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Rutz of Appleton; seven grandchildren, Devin and Shane Shoepke, Shantel Schoepke, Austin Kaleta, Shandra Schoepke, Brennen Schoepke and Christian Jobe; one brother, Richard (Beverly) Schoepke of Oshkosh; two sisters, Donna Mae Foesch of Menasha; LuAnn Lance of Green Bay.

He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation for LeRoy will be held on Saturday, November 9 from 1-2:30 P.M. at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. A committal service for LeRoy will be held at 2:45 PM on Saturday at the Friendship Cemetery, town of Belle Plaine with Pastor Todd Jerabek, officiating. At the family's request, please do not send flowers or plants.
