Nancy Jean (Letlebo) Cox
Nancy J. Cox, 79, Neenah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. She was born February 25, 1934, Madison, daughter of John and Ethel (Roberts) Letlebo. Nancy was united in marriage to John Bruce Cox on June 6, 1959, in Madison. He preceded her in death on January 16, 1996. Nancy enjoyed doing needlework, sewing, and rosemaling. She also loved to travel, camp, and volunteer with the Red Cross. Nancy worked as a counselor for many years at the Menomonee Indian School and also the Maximum Security Prison in Waupun. In addition to her work as a counselor, Nancy also taught business education classes at Fox Valley Technical College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Neenah.
Nancy is survived by her children: Elizabeth (Russell) Soerens,Perkasie, PA; Patricia (Bruce) Weisensel, Neenah; and Ward Cox, Goodman; five grandchildren: Phillip, Benjamin, and Nicholas Soerens, and Johan and Eleonor Weisensel; a sister -in-law: Jo Letlebo, Deerfield; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Nancy was further preceded in death by her siblings: James and Martha Letlebo.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, 108 W. Doty Ave., Neenah, with Pastor Mark Geisthardt officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
