Roger Raymond Heidke, age 81, of Black Creek passed away peacefully on July 30, 2013. Roger was born in Clintonville on June 5, 1932 to the late Edward and Meta (Pape) Heidke. He will be remembered for his good nature, his unmistakable laugh, and sense of humor. Roger served his country honorably in the U.S. Army 2nd Division - Hell on Wheels - 67th Tank Battalion in Gonsenheim, Germany from 1954 - 1956. He was a proud member of the local VFW
and American Legion posts. Roger retired after working for the Clintonville Garage, and Penske and Gelco trucking. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Black Creek. Roger is preceded in death by his beloved wives Marion and Joan, his parents Meta and Edward, his brother Harvey and a sister Joyce (Hopp) and brother in-law Edward Hopp. He is survived by sister in-law Jean, cousins, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews, and many friends. He will be especially missed by his cat friend Ruby. A private family burial will be held, with internment at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville.
