Isenberg, William H.
Passed away Feb. 6, 2013, age 69, at his home in Camarillo, CA. Born in Appleton in 1943, Bill attended Appleton High School (class of 1961), where he began a lifelong interest in electronics, especially audio. After a brief stint at Lawrence U., Bill joined the Air Force in 1964, rising to the rank of Tech Sergeant and specializing in electronics technology. While on duty in Thailand, he serviced radar equipment on F-105 aircraft, which led to a post-discharge position with Lockheed Aircraft in Marietta, GA. He kept one foot in the audio business and worked for a short time in Ohio, finally moving to southern California in 1972, where he worked for a number of audio engineering firms over the years, including Cetec Vega, JBL, and Pioneer, and was an active member of the Los Angeles section of the Audio Engineering Society. Bill resided in La Cañada until the late 1990's, when he moved to Camarillo.
A memorial service and luncheon reception were held Feb. 20 at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. Inurnment will occur 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Riverside Cemetery, 714 N. Owaissa St. in Appleton.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Irving and Doris Isenberg, and sister, Ilene (Dec. 2011), and is survived by his younger brother, John (Debbie) of Pasadena, CA.
