Anita M. Kielblock, age 85 years, of Tigerton passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.
The former Anita Marcella Block was born August 16, 1927 in Tigerton to Hugo and Madeline Block. On August 16, 1945 she was united in marriage to Wallace F. Kielblock in Tigerton. In 1956 the couple moved to Menasha and over the years she cleaned houses for many people in the area. After her husband retired in 1986 they moved back to Tigerton. Mr. Kielblock preceded her in death on May 23, 2011. Anita was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton, where she volunteered with funeral luncheons and helped out with the annual Harvest Dinner. Anita enjoyed dancing to polka music, going shopping, and playing bingo. She will be especially remembered as a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include two daughters; Marcella "Sally" Staffeld of Neenah and Mary (William) Brandt of Shiocton. There are six grandchildren; Chris (Linda) Staffeld of Appleton, Becky (Lonnie) Ford of Neenah, Bill (Kitty) Brandt IV of Appleton, Craig (Olga) Brandt of Sharon, WI, Teresa (David) Ziemer of Marion, and Jennifer VanRooy of Appleton. There are 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Anita is further survived by two brothers; Elmer Block and Roland (Clarise) Block, both of Wittenberg, many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wallace, a daughter, Barbara Kalies, and a sister-in-law, Juanita Koller.
The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at Homme Home of Wittenberg for the wonderful care given to Anita.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Rev. Matthew Uttenreither will officiate and burial will be in the spring at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church.
