Bruce Lawrence Boldig

Bruce L. Boldig, 58, Kaukauna, was welcomed into eternal life with his family by his side on Sunday, August 25, 2013. He was born November 4, 1954, in Shawano, son of Maurice and Diane (Malueg) Boldig. Bruce married the love of his life, Pamey Brewer, on October 11, 1986. He was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and was a wonderful loving Christian husband and father. Bruce was a true family man, doing everything he could for his family. He built the homes they lived in using all of his talents and craftsmanship. He was always there for Jessica in all of her basketball and dance recitals, and for Jake in all of his racing endeavors. Together the Boldig's took many wonderful family vacations. Recently Bruce was most proud of the newest edition of his family, his most precious granddaughter, Peyton. Bruce lit up every time she came near him. He loved riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, playing pool and spending time at many race tracks. He has been employed at SCA Tissue for 22 years.

Bruce is lovingly survived by his wife of almost 27 years, Pamey; two children: Jessica (Chris) Singer and Jake Boldig; the apple of his eye and only granddaughter, Peyton Singer; a sister, Janine (Scott) Schoepke; special aunt and uncle who have filled the shoes of the parents Bruce lost so early, Marlene and Richard Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Donna Brewer; brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert (Bonnie) Quandt, Wendy (Jerry) Van Camp, Steve (Michelle) Quandt, Peggy Faulkner, Betty Jo Caughell, Katy Saffia; many other special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family members and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Diane, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, N2749 French Road, Appleton, with Pastor Tim Glende officiating. Interment will be in Community Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church and again on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Bruce's name.

The Boldig family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Timothy Goggins, Dr. Brian Scott, Pete Kordiyak, P.A., and all of their staffs, the staff at Theda Care at Home and Hospice, case manager Theresa Vogl at Network Health, and to a very dear family friend, "Nurse Linda" for her support right up until the end. All of your care, compassion and support, including that from our family and friends, during this difficult time is much appreciated and will never be forgotten.
