Charles Gyrion Obituary
Gyrion, Charles A.

Charles "Chuck" A. Gyrion, age 73 of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Chuck was born on November 25, 1939 in Waupaca to the late Charles and Gladys (Peterson) Gyrion. On December 19, 1966 he married Charlene Fischer and they enjoyed 46 years together. Chuck was employed at Gilbert Paper in Menasha for 34 years as a machine tender.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and going camping with his family. He also loved bird watching, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, spending time with his grandkids and his four legged friends, Rusty and Lady.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Charlene; their children; Chuck (Beth Long) Gyrion, Cindy (Wayne) Boettcher and Chad Gyrion, grandchildren; Danielle, Brianna, MaKenzie and Emily; his daughter from a previous marriage, Theresa (Keith) Wolle and their 6 children along with 10 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his special Aunt, Lois Button and brother in law, Robert Young.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Young.

A memorial service for Chuck will be held at 5:00PM, Friday, October 4, 2013 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 North Richmond Street, Appleton. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 2:00PM until the time of service.

Because of Chucks love for English and Irish Setters, in lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in the name of Great Lakes Irish Setter Rescue of Hortonville.

The family wants to thank the doctors and the nurses with Appleton Medical Center Intensive Care Unit for the special care and compassion given to Chuck.
