Daniel "Bob" Holloway, age 80, of Neenah, died May 18, 2013, at Sterling House, Neenah, WI after a lingering illness. Bob was born on October 14, 1932, in Green Bay the son of Daniel and Mary (Zettle) Holloway. Bob served in the Navy for four years, upon discharge; he worked at Proctor Gamble, Green Bay before marrying and moving to Neenah. Bob met and married Joan Tuchscherer on May 14, 1955, at St. Margaret Mary Church, Neenah.
Bob worked for Marathon/American Can/James River before retiring. Not one to sit still, he started a second career as a courier for Valley Bank/M&I, working for 19 more years.
Bob had a love for camping, fishing, and taking bus trips with Joan. Bob was best known for his ability to tell a story and make friends with everyone. Bob loved to flirt with the girls. Even in the last years of his illness he flirted and told his outrageous jokes and stories.
Bob was loved and will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 years Joan, his children; Laurie Holloway, Nancy (Chris) Champeau, Lynn (Randy) Hannes, and Larry Holloway. His sister, Mary Jane Leitermann, sisters in law; Elaine Holloway, Dorothy Holloway, Charlotte Tuchscherer and Carol Tuchscherer, brothers in law, Gus Ballas, and Gene Tuchscherer. Bob was a proud and loving grandfather to; Sarah Champeau, Jeremy Hannes, and Nick Holloway.
Bob is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Joseph, Larry, John, Fran, Pat, and Glen Holloway and Beatrice "Boots" Ballas, sisters in law MaryLou Holloway, Dorothy Holloway, Dolly Kohfeldt and Elaine Juneau; brothers in law Norman Leitermann, Raymond Tuchscherer, Patrick Juneau, and Heinie Kohfeldt.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday May 24, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Church, 640 Division Street, Neenah at 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Mass at 11:00 am with Father Michael Ingold officiating. Inurnment with full military honors will follow the luncheon at Saint Margaret Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Bob's name.
The family wishes to extend thanks to the caregivers at Oak Ridge Gardens, Fox River Rehab, and Sterling House for their kind and compassionate care of Bob.
