Ezra Danzy

Services for Ezra Danzy of Simpson, Louisiana were held December 8, 2013 at Comrade Baptist Church Rev. Dwayne Davis officiating. Burial was a Pine Grove Cemetery in Mora, Louisiana.

Ezra was born December 16, 1924 and passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 3, 2013. He retired from the U.S. Government Civil Service, and was a SGT in the U.S. Army and was a WWII Veteran. He loved his family, hunting, and fishing. He raised cattle and then goats. He raised a garden every year and would give most of it away.

He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Lambright Danzy, an infant son, parents Mach and Lonie (Hillman) Danzy, sisters Pearle Kile, Agnes Norsworthy, Gertrude Gilcrease, and Joy Fay Danzy. Brothers L.W. Danzy and Roy Danzy. His Grandson William Mack Danzy.

Ezra is survived by his son Roger (Joan) Danzy Pineville, LA, his daughter Carolyn (Tom) Steinfeldt Sr. Appleton, Grandsons Tom Steinfeldt Jr. Appleton and Craig (Stephanie) Steinfeldt Albany, WI, Grandaughters Jane (Todd) Christenson, Kimberly, WI, Jennifer (Greg) Bliss, Kaukauna, WI, Sarah (Chadrick) Wages Ruston, LA and Dr. Laura (Steward) McCurdy Palm City, FL. Great Grandchildren Jarrod, Elijah, Carolyn Inez, and Noah Christenson, Max and Alex Steinfeldt, Matthew and Sophie Bliss, Luke and Ben Wages. Great Great Granddaugther Victoria, Vivian and Julie Christenson. And his dog Laurie.

Ezra will be sadly missed, his twinkle in his eyes, his jokes and stories and his hugs. Till we meet again.
