Gruthoff, Fletcher (Fletch) L.
Fletcher (Fletch) L Gruthoff of Port Aransas, Tx. passed on October 27, 2013. He was born in Chicago, Il. on January 4, 1933. Fletch graduated from Morton High School, in Berwyn, Il. attended The University of Chicago, and served in the Army. He then graduated from Western Michigan University majoring in business.
Fletcher married Emilee Pagni in Cicero, Il. on August 4, 1957. Together they had 3 sons, David, Collin, and Brian. They were married for 25 years.
Fletch worked for General Foods in White Plains N.Y and in advertising at J. Walter Thompson in Chicago, Il. His hobby then became his "Life work" building cabinets in Appleton, Wi. (BUSY NOOK CABINETS) The boys, David, Collin, and Brian would help in the shop after school. The business grew and became F.C. DADSON when Fletcher and Collin became partners.
Fletcher moved to Texas, when he retired enjoying fishing and golfing on the gulf coast of Texas. For years, he made a hunting trip to North Dakota with his sons, brother, and friends.
He is survived by his sons, David (Christine) Gruthoff, Brighton, Co.; Collin (Donna) Gruthoff, Bonduel, Wi.; and Brian Gruthoff; grandchildren, Sophie and Benjamin Gruthoff, Boulder, Co; his brother, Bruce Gruthoff, Beaver Dam, Wi.; and his sister, Ann Gruthoff Allgaier, Wausaw, Wi.
Fletch was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher F and Evelyn Jene Gruthoff; a sister, Betty G Norberg; brother-in-law, Howard Norberg; brother-in-law, Richard Allgaier.
There will be no service.
