Harlan E. "Buggs" Moran

Harlan Moran, age 88, passed away at Oakridge Gardens Care Center in Menasha on Monday morning, November 19, 2012, at the age of 88. Buggs was born in Iron County, Wisconsin, son of the late Arley and Kate (Smith) Moran. Following high school, he married the former Anne Connor on July 22, 1950. She survives. Buggs was a lifelong Menasha resident, and worked at American Can for forty-two years. He retired in 1986. Buggs enjoyed bowling and golf.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years: Anne Moran of Menasha; a son: Jeff (Vicki) Moran of Appleton; two grandchildren: Travis Moran of Appleton and Kelly Moran of Iowa; two sisters: Eunice Britzke of California and Gina Peotter of Neenah; and a brother: Cliff (Phyllis) Moran of Menasha. Buggs was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Sandy; a son: John Moran; brothers: Dutch Moran and Richard (Lottie) (Virginia) Moran; a sister: Arlene (Rollie) Wolff; brothers-in-law: Al Britzke, Ron Peotter, and Dan Connor; and sisters-in-law: Margaret (Thor) Soli, Jo (Cecil) Jasper, and Irene (Bub) Schuler..

The funeral liturgy for Buggs will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 23, 2012 at ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 536 DePere Street in Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
