Ila S. Boyson, 89, Neenah, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at her home. She was born on December 4, 1923, in Shawano, daughter of August and Selma (Kroenke) Erdmann. Ila was united in marriage to William Kenneth Boyson on May 31, 1947. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1986. Ila worked for Kimberly Clark as a product tester for many years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha for over 55 years. She loved to crotchet and knit, making countless scarves, afghans, and dish clothes over the years for family and friends. She enjoyed the Packers games, as well as playing cards and games with family (especially her sister Ruth). Ila will be fondly remembered for the time and care she gave to her great grandchildren and her beautiful flower garden.
Ila is survived by her daughters: Kathy (Chris) Rigotti and Sandy (Bob) Meyer, both of Neenah; a grandson: Chad (Tania) Meyer, Larson; three great grandchildren: Emery, Brecken, and Karlee; three brothers: Elder (Pat) Erdmann, Shawano; Frank (Shirley) Erdmann, Menasha; and Jim (Sharon) Erdmann, Neenah; a sister: Ruth (Norman) Wright, Neenah; two sisters-in-law: Jan Erdmann, Menasha; and Dolores Boyson, Fremont; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ila was further preceded in death by a grandson: Joshua Rigotti; brothers: Roy (Elaine), Pete (Joyce), Marlin, Sam, and Jack (Della) Erdmann; sisters: Verna (Mervin) Dallman, Anita (Oscar) Hammer, Arlean (Reinhardt) Teetzen; brother- and sister-in-law: Hugh Boyson and Lucille (Pete) Huebner.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad Street, Menasha, with Rev. Steven Billings officiating. Interment will take place in the Wolf River Cemetery, Fremont. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions appreciated to the Heart Foundation.
