Karen S. Leitzke, age 74, Hortonville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She left behind so many who loved her, and joined so many loved ones in heaven. Karen was born on December 15, 1938, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Myron E. and Nelda L. (Schroeder) Leitzke. She lived in the Hortonville area her entire life and was employed as a secretary for Kroeger Co., Cenex, and the Hortonville High School.
Her church family at Faith Community Church meant very much to her. Her radio was continuously tuned to WRVM Christian Radio. She enjoyed the Cubs, Brewer baseball, and the Packers; attending the "Ice Bowl" game.
Karen is survived by sisters, Pam (Alan) Uhlenbrauck, Black Creek; Shirley (Paul) Hameister, Appleton; Joanne (Hank) Diestler, Greenville; Kathy (Neil) Plamann, Appleton; brother, Lowell Leitzke, Greenville; and aunt, Irene Holz, Appleton. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews including her godchildren, Paula Heller and Sara Krueger; as well as many other cousins, relatives, and friends. Karen was always very interested in their lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Yvonne; sister-in-law, Helen Leitzke; niece, Jennifer Leitzke; godmother, Aunt Nora Leitzke; and many other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Karen's companions at home were Rene and Anna, her cats. She was a loving sister, aunt, neice, cousin, and friend. We will miss her very much, but know we will see her again. Thank you God.
A funeral service for Karen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Faith Community Chruch, N1966 Julius Drive, Greenville, with Pastor Don Olm officiating.
