Leone A. Rappert, age 97, of Menasha, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Prairie Homes in Menasha. On September 12, 1915, Leone Agnes was born in Menasha to the late Leo and Mary (Kohanski) Kohanski. She was united in marriage to Bernard Rappert on June 6, 1933; he preceded her in death on March 20, 1965. She had been a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha. Leone had worked as an Admissions Clerk for both St. Elizabeth Hospital and Theda Clark Hospital. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting as well as playing cards.
Leone will be missed by her loving son, Donald (Marie) Rappert; her grandchildren: Donna (Terry) Link, David Rappert, Doreen (Chris) Mellberg, and Daniel (Amy) Rappert; 10 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rose Marie Rappert; a great-grandson, Joey Link; her brothers: Sylvester and Edward; and three sisters: Ceil, Bernice, and Delphina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 18, 2013, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the hour of the Mass at the church. Interment will take place in St. John Cemetery in the Town of Menasha.
