Mildred Emma Brandtmeier

Mildred E. Brandtmeier, 91, Menasha, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton. She was born on December 1, 1922, in Clintonville, daughter of Otto and Anna (Seivers) Reetz. Mildred loved word search books and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a cook at Germania Hall and several other local establishments through the years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha.

Mildred is survived by her children: David (Phyllis) Brandtmeier, Shirley Olson, William (Janice) Brandtmeier, and Michael (Julie) Brandtmeier; nine grandchildren: Angela (Travis) Techlin, Heather (Kenneth "Lee") Stingle, Kayla Brandtmeier, Peter (fiancé Sarah) Olson, Ashley (Jake) Richardson, Alisha Brandtmeier, Brittney (fiancé Grahm Stewart) Brandtmeier, Nick and Abigail Brandtmeier; three great grandchildren: Kenneth, Noah, and Dillin and one more on the way; a brother: Gerald Reetz; a sister-in-law: Willowdean Reetz; and many other relatives and friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Rueben Brandtmeier in 1972; a brother: Walter Reetz; and a son-in-law: Michael Olson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014, at St. John the Baptist Church, 516 De Pere St., Menasha, with Fr. James Hablewitz officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Menasha. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Mary's Parish, Menasha, would be appreciated.

Mildred's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice and the staff on Theda Clark Medical Center's 5th floor for all their wonderful care of Mildred.
