Nancy was born on May 3, 1945 in Muncie, IN to Philip Graves and Crystal (Coyle). She graduated from Mississinewa High School in Gas City, IN and went on to receive her bachelor's and master's degree in music education from the venerable Indiana University School of Music (now Jacobs School of Music). On April 14, 1979, she married her best friend Tom Lloyd at First Congregational Church in Oshkosh.

She was a long-time registered Wisconsin music therapist; member of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and its Great Lakes Region; the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association Chapter Network; and served on the Wisconsin Chapter for Music Therapy Executive Board. She was a frequent presenter (juried) for music therapy/allied health conferences; appointed to AMTA's National Speaker's Bureau; a Very Special Arts clinician/music coordinator; and music ministry volunteer. She was a gifted musician, pianist, and vocalist, lending her beautiful voice to the First Congregational Church Chancel Choir, Oshkosh Chamber Singers, and the annual Oshkosh Recreation Department-sponsored performance of Handel's Oratorio Messiah, where she was featured as a soloist. She was a faithful member of First Congregational Church of Oshkosh and their Women's Fellowship, and a dedicated volunteer for many of its church functions. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, where she held life-long friendships and fulfilled her passion for philanthropy.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Allison (Andy) Oswald of Monterey, CA; sisters, Pam Graves of Connersville, IN; Lois (Dave) Drollinger of Kearney, MO; Stephanie Voglund of Peoria, AZ; mother-in-law, Mildred Lloyd of Oshkosh; brothers-in-law, David Lloyd of Atlanta, GA; Douglas Lloyd of Cypress, TX; and Gary Lloyd of Oshkosh.
