Orvilla Emma "Orvie" Wildermuth
Orvie E. Wildermuth, 94, Greenville, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. She was born March 26, 1919, in Port Washington, daughter of the late Emil and Emma (Kannenberg) Albl.
Orvie moved to Sheboygan at a young age, and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1936. While in school, she eagerly participated in the Forensics and Drama programs. Orvie then attended Sheboygan County Normal School, and received a two year education certificate. She married the love of her life, Herbert J. Wildermuth, on February 3, 1942. The couple was married by Rev. George Wildermuth, grandfather of Herbert. After teaching in several rural schools in Sheboygan County, Orvie returned to school at U. W. Oshkosh to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She concluded her teaching career at Sheboygan Falls Elementary School as a second grade teacher. During retirement, she continued to volunteer at the school and enjoyed swimming, reading, traveling, spending time at the cottage in Crivitz, and enjoying good times with her family. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Sheboygan Falls.
Orvie is survived by her three sons: Jim (Gwen) Wildermuth, Minneapolis, John (Judy) Wildermuth, Appleton, and Tom (Monica) Wildermuth, Appleton; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Mike) Wickstrom, Jill (George) Burleton and Mitchell (Kim) Wildermuth; great grandchildren: Tyler, Nevaeh, Mya and Isaiah; a sister, Arline Rhyner, Kaysville, Utah; and many other family members and special friends.
Orvie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Adeline Reichenberger; and a brother, Howard Albl.
In accordance with Orvie's wishes, no funeral service will be held. Memorials can be made to Orvie's favorite charity, the Salvation Army.
