Haferbecker, Patricia A. (nee Nicolais)

Patricia A. "Pat" Haferbecker, Appleton, age 76, passed away on Thursday July 25, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on May 27, 1937 in Chicago, IL to the late Sam and Mary (Spagnola) Nicolais. Pat attended Santa Maria Incoronata Grade School, St. Mary Perpetual Help High School, and St. Gabriel Business School, all in Chicago. On April 27, 1957 she married the late James "Jim" Haferbecker in Houston, TX. They moved to Appleton that year. After 56 years of marriage, Jim passed away on May 1, 2013. Pat loved and missed him very much.

She was employed by Teamsters Local 563 for 25 years, retiring early, in 1988. Pat liked playing cards, going to the casino and the Green Bay Packers. She loved being with her children, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and cherished the time they spent together.

Pat is survived by her sons: David (Lisa) Haferbecker, Appleton; Tim Haferbecker, Long Lake; and Steven Haferbecker, Neenah; grandchildren: Trisha and Samantha; great grandchildren: Tatiana, Anthony, Trinity, Anyia and Kane; sister: Joann Nicolais; brothers: Peter (Linda), Joe (Brenda) and Michael (Rose) Nicolais; brother-in-law: Bob Mullen; good friends Fay and Dick Van Eyck; and many loving relatives and special cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Mullen.

Visitation for Pat will be held on Tuesday July 30, 2013 at ST. MARY PARISH (312 S. State St. Appleton) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. The Rev.
