Robert H. Aures, 87, of Neenah, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Theda Clark Hospital, after a short illness.

Robert was born on September 24, 1924 in Appleton to Henry and Helen Aures, where he lived most of his life. He served in the Army Signal Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of Technical Sgt.

Following the service, he and his father went into the appliance repair business, which they conducted for about 10 years. He then married Laurie Whiting Behl in 1955, and went to Oshkosh to manage a camera and card operation for the House of Cards. This venture lasted until 1963 when he left to take an engineering position with American Can Co. in Menasha. Robert completed 26 years of service with Am. Can Co. retiring Nov 01, 1989.

Robert is survived by a son Jerry Riehl and his wife Ruth, Appleton; two step-children: Gary (Dollie) Behl of San Diego California; and Kathy Behl Whiting (Robert) of Miami Florida; four grandchildren: David Cytrynowicz; Sara Cytrynowicz; Febbie Behl; and Angelica Riehl; two Great-Grandchildren: Oscar and Otto Cytrynowicz. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Laurie; his parents; and two sisters.

The memorial service for Robert will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oak Ridge Rd., Neenah. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 A.M. to the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Old Glory Veterans' flights in Robert's name would be appreciated.

Inurnment will be in the Star of Hope Chapel Mausoleum, Appleton.
