Shirley Adams Obituary
Shirley A. Adams

Shirley Ann Adams, 80, Neenah, passed away at her home on Friday May 17, 2013. She was born November 12, 1932, in Nadeau, MI, daughter of Cyril and Octavia (Charles) Laurin. Shirley married her high school sweetheart Alvin "Sonny" Adams on June 11, 1953. They were married for 60 years. She was homecoming queen her senior year at Stephenson High School. She loved collecting angels. Shirley worked at Nicolet Clinic for 10 years. Shirley was a wonderful mother and home maker who loved being with her family. She prided herself in being the only family member who could remember everyone's birth date. She enjoyed summers in her yard with its many flowers and bird houses. She wintered for 18 years in Harlingen, Texas where she and Alvin made many wonderful friends. Shirley was an avid book reader….sorry mom you didn't get to finish Janet Evonavich's Book number 17.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Alvin; her children Lynn Adams, New London; Cheryl (David Krueger) Adams, Oregon, WI; Dean (Sherrill) Adams, McKinleyville, CA; Shelly Viellieux and Patrice (Ron) Hirn, all of Neenah; eight grandchildren: Ben, Sam, Greyson, Skylar, Tyler, Claire, Zachary and Austin; a sister and brother: Ethyl Eichorn and James (Doris) Laurin; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Ruth (Lawrence) Vanderaa, Pine River, WI; Roxanne (David) Liephart, Stephenson, MI; Leonard (Marvel) Adams, Fairfax, VA and Michael (Carol) Adams, Bagley, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Lynn's husband, Marcus Braun; sisters: Stella Flaum, Mable Fronsee, Helen Laurin, Marie Wendrickx, Verna DeTemple, Betty Spiller, and Mildred Piche; and brothers: Kenny Laurin and Earl Laurin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

The entire Adams Family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the services of the Neenah Fire Department, Neenah Police Department, Gold Cross Ambulance Service, Larry Martin and crew at Tiltins and Kessler Funeral Home. The genuine compassion and sympathy you provided our mother and family will not be forgotten. Thank you
