Seghers, Thomas
Seghers, Thomas E, 68, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away in his sleep from a lingering illness on May 16, 2017. Tom was a 1966 graduate of Appleton Xavier High School and a 1974 graduate of UW-Madison.
Tom was the second of five boys first living in Milwaukee, then finding their home in Appleton. Tom was a fleet footed, athletically gifted, and quick witted youth, with a love of a good joke and sometimes a little harmless trouble. Tom was a loving father, great brother, and a fun friend to all. Following High School, Tom served his country fighting in the infantry in Vietnam, where like approximately 1 million other soldiers it is believed he was exposed to chemical defoliants. Tom returned from the war and earned his pharmacy degree, working then as a Pharmacist in Seymour, West Bend, and Milwaukee until he was diagnosed with MS in 1993.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Charles E and Leila Seghers of Appleton. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Alison; his daughters, Ashley and Corrinn; and grandchildren Cole and Ava. Also, survived by his brothers, Charles James (Jim) of Appleton WI, Christopher (Chris) of Chadd's Ford, PA, Patrick (Pat) of West Bend WI and Mark of Milwaukee WI. Also loved by his nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom is further survived by another brother - in arms - Bob King, Christian Counselor. Bob spent many years with Tom as Tom's illness gradually progressed. A private ceremony will be held at The Villa at Bradley Estates on May 27th for close family and friends. Please contact Pat Seghers at [email protected] for further details. See complete notice at https://www.krausefuneralhome.com/obituary/
