Robert R. Burns, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Bishops Court in Green Bay. On January 5, 1941, Bob was born in Ladysmith, WI, son of the late Russel and Ferndell (Martin) Burns. Bob served in the Navy, Army Reserves, and the Coast Guard Reserves. Bob was united in marriage to his wife Cathleen for 22 years until she passed away in 1989. He was a Cook by profession and enjoyed eating out and drinking coffee. Bob liked playing Bingo and trying his luck with lottery tickets. He loved to go camping and having cookouts with his family and friends. Bob also loved the Green Bay Packers. Bob will be remembered for his awesome sense of humor, always the "jokester".

Bob will be missed by his loving children: Doreen (Pete) Much, Deborah (Chad) Mayer, Robert "Bob" T. Burns Jr., Cristy Burns, Scott Burns, Corey Burns; his grandchildren: Megan (Luke) Nelson, Nathan Much, Sean and Tanna Mayer, Tyler Burns, Cassi and Gage Edwards, Payton, Brittany, and Brandy Burns; a great-grandchild, MeKennah Nelson; brothers: Russel Burns Jr., Ryan (Lori) Burns; sister, Renea Burns; brother-in-law, Leo (Susan) Roberts.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rosalie Burns; and his brothers: Richard and Roger Burns.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Town of Menasha.
