Boegh, Elizabeth

Elizabeth L. Boegh, age 86, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012. She was born May 15, 1926, the daughter of the late Antone and Florence (Ashman) Otto. On June 12, 1948, she married her husband of 60 years, Robert Boegh. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2008. Elizabeth was a dedicated homemaker to her seven children. She loved bowling, gardening, reading and spending time at their cabin in Mt. Morris. Elizabeth and her late husband enjoyed going to rummage sales. They would take their mopeds around to local sales, filling up their baskets with their deals. Elizabeth loved each of her dogs, especially Opie. She also enjoyed bird watching on her back porch. The holidays were her favorite time of year with her baking, especially her famous fruit cakes. Elizabeth was also a sports fanatic. She loved the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and every one of her grandkids sports games. Above all, Elizabeth was most passionate about her family. Her children and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always in her heart.

Elizabeth is lovingly survived by her children: Jim (Mary Lynn) Boegh of Hortonville, Jean "Rachel" Kramer of Neenah, Steven (Darlene) Boegh of Neenah, Randy (Lori) Boegh of Appleton, Robin Boegh of Fremont, Ryan (Priscilla) Boegh of Jenks, Oklahoma, Rebecca (Candace) of Neenah; grandchildren: Shannon, Travis, Stephanie, Amy, Melissa, Stacey, Timothy, Jamie, Tony, Emily, Abigail; great-grandchildren: Oliver, Addie, Finley, Levi, Crosby, Michael, Wyatt, Jackson, Payton, Carter, Tucker; sister, Dorothy Kampo, brother-in-law, Richard "Whitey" Boegh, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Boegh; brothers: Jerry Otto, Thomas Otto and sisters: Grace Hurley and Rosemary Raehl.

Elizabeth's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Rebecca and Candace for the many years of care, love and support for Elizabeth.

A Memorial Service for Elizabeth will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Mumsy, you were my constant source of knowledge and guidance. You helped me in so many ways. You taught me how to be strong and stand up for myself. "Kick 'em in the shins" is what you told me. I find myself quoting you often each and every day. "You learn something new every day and if you don't you weren't trying hard enough." My life will never be the same, but my love for you will.

Always yours, Becka Baby

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. A donation will be made to the Children's Smile Foundation.
