Arndt, Magdalen A.

Magdalen A. Arndt, age 91, of Menasha, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Oakridge Gardens in Menasha. On July 30, 1922, Magdalen Agnes was born to the late Guy and Martha (Urban) Moran in Menasha. On August 5, 1939, Maggie was united in marriage to Lester Arndt; he preceded her in death on May 23, 1982. Maggie liked to volunteer her time for many different organizations. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, especially Sheepshead or Canasta. She was very talented at crafting, crocheting, and making Rosaries for the missions for church. Maggie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the St. Anne's Society in Menasha. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and would do anything for them.

Maggie will be missed by her loving children: Nancy (Richard) Peterson and Richard (Patricia) Arndt; her grandchildren: Kimberly Lipske, Linda Peterson, Jeffrey (Lisa) Arndt, and Paula Arndt; great-grandchildren: Randi Sue, Tamara Ann, Dante Michael, and Maranda Lynn; and great-great-grandchildren: Konner, Jayden, and Bentley; a special niece, Anita Carney; and a sister-in-law, Dolores Giebel.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass at the church. Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
