James Henry Wenzel
James H. Wenzel, 100, Neenah, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at Northpoint Medical and Rehab Center, Oshkosh. He was born November 9, 1913, in Corvallis, OR, son of John and Margaret (Wallace) Wenzel. James married Alice Mielke February 18, 1939, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. Alice preceded Jim in death October 2004. James was employed with George Banta Corporation until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling with Alice, and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
James is survived by his sons: James R. (Karen) Wenzel, Menomonie; Thomas Wenzel, Weyauwega; and Michael (Kay) Wenzel, Oshkosh; daughter-in-laws, Helen Wenzel, Minocqua; and Jeannie Wenzel, Madison; grandchildren: Tiffany Wenzel, Grand Prairie, TX; Tammy Wenzel, Stoughton; and Keith Wenzel, Menasha; a sister-in-law, Mary Wenzel, Menasha; a brother-in-law, Don Massonette, Appleton.
James was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald Wenzel; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Wenzel; sisters: infant Germaine, Gertrude (Peter) Succa, Beatrice (Jake) Perloff, Margaret McClanahan, and Julia (Edward) Gullickson; brothers: John (Wilma) and William (Pearl) Wenzel.
The family will greet guests on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. There will be a prayer service led by Mary Krueger starting at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
James's family would like to thank the staff at Northpoint Medical and Rehab Center for their care and compassion shown toward their dad for the past 8 years.
