She married Jack C. Berlin on December 26, 1959 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. The inseparable couple moved to Stockbridge in 1983 and laid down roots while they both commuted back and forth to Sheboygan. In her free time, Betty enjoyed fishing on Lake Winnebago with her husband and the many enjoyable snowmobile trips they took together.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and the Red Hat Society in Stockbridge. She enjoyed socializing while playing cards, miniature bowling at the Fishtale Inn, and especially enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren who affectionately called her 'Lucky Betty'. She always looked forward to attending their events and loved to borrow their mobile phones.

Survivors include her children: Jane Balcaitis of Appleton, Daniel (Laura) Berlin of Newton, Thomas (Cheryl) Berlin of Appleton; 7 grandchildren: Kelsey & Kerri Balcaitis, Jacob & Amanda Berlin, Trevor, Brenden & Serena Berlin; and her faithful companion: Tippy. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jack; and a brother: Peter Hiltgen.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W.
