Mielke, Marcella M. "Sally"

Marcella "Sally" Mielke, Sherwood, age 98, died Thursday February 27, 2014 at St. Paul Villa. She was born in Kaukauna on August 13, 1915 to the late Nicholas and Christina (Schmidt) Jackels. Sally married George O. Mielke on March 30, 1937 at St. Mary Parish in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death in 1976. Sally was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Sherwood. She was active in the pro-life movement and volunteered at the Salvatorian Center in New Holstein and St. Elizabeth Hospital. Sally lived on Lake Winnebago for 10 years and wintered in Florida for 25.

Sally is survived by her children: Ruth Ann Gorski, Sherwood; Shirley Majeskie, Pewaukee; Mary Lou Nushart, Alaska; Marjorie Hartman, De Pere; Christine (Allen) Eldred, Medford; Janice (James) Lamers, Combined Locks; Patricia (Allan) Lisowe, Brothertown; Georgette (Larry) Spietz, Kaukauna; and Don Mielke, Sherwood; 36 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; sister: Sr. M. Cyrilla, Manitowoc; and sister-in-law Bernice Jackels. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sally was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Visitation will be held Wednesday March 5, 2014 at ST. JOHN - SACRED HEART PARISH (N369 Military Rd. Sherwood) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 Noon. The Rev.
