Alyce Leifermann of Menasha, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2014. She was born on April 15, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Jessie (Miller) Lisk. She married Joseph Leifermann on April 4, 1973; he preceded her in death on July 15, 2004. Alyce truly enjoyed her role as secretary at Butte des Morts Junior High School for the Menasha School District.
Alyce loved art; she was talented in oil and acrylic painting and using pastel chalk. She enjoyed music, the piano, organ and singing. Gardening was a pleasure to her and moss roses were her favorite. She was passionate about her church and volunteered for many projects. Her greatest love was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Alyce was a genuinely good person who was always respectful and made friends easily with her giggle.
Survivors include her children: Ernest (Shirley) Fleischer III and Susan Casperson all of Menasha and Catherine (Tracy McCormick) Fleischer, Winneconne; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and a brother John (Hazel) Lisk. Alyce was preceded in death by her children Ruth Ofenbeck and Richard Fleischer; a grandson Michael and a sister Wanda Villard.
A Memorial Service will be held for Alyce on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 6:00 pm with Chaplain Mike Williams officiating at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, Wisconsin 54952. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the hour of the service.
