Nancy Lee Horn

Nancy L. Horn, Combined Locks, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 28, 2014. She was born May 1, 1955, and she graduated from Kaukauna High School, class of 1973. She married her soul mate and best friend, Ron Horn, on September 21, 1973, and cherished 39 years of marriage. Nancy's deepest passion and strongest commitment was to her family. Nancy was a loving, committed wife and mother. She enjoyed dancing and the love of music, playing piano and organ, and was an avid gardener. She cherished her memories of family vacations to Jelly Stone as well as family trips to the Hawaiian Islands, Disney and Hoover Dam/Vegas.

She will be sadly missed by the love of her life, her husband, Ron Horn; a very amazing daughter, Suzanne; her mother, Theresa Evers; siblings: Gary (Anet), Joan (Nancy Albright), Barb (Pat Roberts), Kathy, Bob (Gail) and Alan; mother-in-law, Ethelyn Horn; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill (Debra), David (Karen), Rich (Karen), Nancy (Josh), Mary (Pat) and Gus (Ann); her very devoted dog, Lucky; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Joseph Jr. Horn and a sister-in-law, Marie Horn.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. A memorial has been established in Nancy's name.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at ThedaCare Hospice, American Grand, Heartland Hospice, Dr. Timothy Culligan, Dr. Jennifer Schoening and the Kaukauna Clinic for the special care they gave to Nancy.
