Sally Weihing, 76, Greenville, passed away on April 29, 2014, at Living Tree Estates, Greenville. She was born in the Town of Clayton, on August 22, 1937, daughter of Charles and Helen (Grambsch) Winter. She grew up at her family's cheese factory in the Town of Clayton and graduated from Neenah High School. On August 20, 1955, she was united in marriage to Roger Weihing at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Clayton. After getting married, they raised their family of five sons and a daughter on a dairy farm in the Town of Greenville. Sally especially enjoyed time spent at the family cottage up north, snowmobiling in the winters and enjoying nature throughout the year. After retiring from farming in 1988, she enjoyed many years of spending time at the cottage and seeing much of the United States with Roger while traveling by their travel trailer. They lived most of the past 10 years near Iola, WI.
Sally is survived by her husband, Roger; six children: Mark (Chris) Weihing, Paul (Karen) Weihing, Tim (Sandy) Weihing, John (Euge Isherwood) Weihing, Joe (Donna) Weihing, and Kerri (Pete) Adams; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Bonnie (Leon) Seifert, Dorothy Poe, and Kathy Weihing; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Geraldine (Leonard) Olson and Rosie (Bayward "Chink") Olson; a brother and sister-in-law: Gerald "Jerry" and Virginia Winter; and brothers-in-law: Wallace "Wally" Weihing and Vance Poe.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2014, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, W7265 School Road, Greenville, with Rev. John Qualmann officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation will be at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Sally's name.
Sally's family would like to extend a very special thank you to all the staff at Living Tree Estates and to Sue Kiser of Hospice Advantage for their special care for Sally during the past few months.
