Davis, Neil W.

Neil W. Davis, age 65, New London, died unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, May 1, 2014. He was born on October 14, 1948, in New London son of Donald and Alice (Heman) Davis. Neil graduated from New London High School in 1966. On July 23, 1969, he was united in marriage to Patricia Lenzner at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. Neil served his country overseas during the Vietnam War from June 1968 - June 1970, receiving the Purple Heart. He worked at Miller Electric for 39 ½ years retiring in October of 2013. Neil enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and also cars, puzzles, and watching the Discovery and History Channel.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; sons, Eric (Peggy) Davis; Jason (Jenny) Davis and Jared (Heather) Davis; two brothers, Roger (Carol) Davis and Larry (Sue) Davis; grandchildren: Kathrine, Derrek, Logan, Allison and Piper. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Ramona Lenzner; brother in-laws and sister in-laws: Ronald (Donna) Lenzner; Debbie (Wayne) Obry; Donna Griesbach; Scott Lenzner; Kathy (Mike) Paltzer; Keith (LeAnn) Lenzner and Kent Lenzner and also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His parents, father in-law, Wallace Lenzner and brother in-law, Greg Griesbach preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Neil will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Military Rites will be held. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 12 Noon until the time of services.
