Polzin, Gerald "Jerry" Lee

Jerry Polzin, 73, of Appleton, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Cherry Meadows Hospice.

He was born on October 1, 1940 in Antigo, to the late Orville and Minnie (nee Schmidt) Polzin.

Jerry served in the US Army, and was one of four owner/operators of the Plaza Barber Shop in downtown Appleton for over 40 years. On November 24, 1962, he was united in marriage to the love of his life and high school sweetheart Gail Schleinz. Together they made their home in Appleton and raised three children.

Jerry is survived by his lovely wife of 51years Gail, 3 children, 7 grandchildren, a brother, his mother-in-law, and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his father-in-law.

Private Services for Jerry will be held at a later date.

Jerry's family would like to thank all of his patrons for their loyalty and support over his 40 years as a Barber; you brought great joy to his life.
