Weyers, Margaret Barbara "Barb"

Margaret Barbara Weyers, 94, of Little Chute, formerly of the Stephensville area, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at American Grand Assisted Living. She was born in LaMour, North Dakota on May 13, 1919 to the late Wilson and Anna (Frank) Watson. Barb married Francis H. Weyers on January 30, 1945 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. She was a member of the Freedom V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 Auxiliary, St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, and the St. John Mission Club.

Barb loved to sew, knit and quilt. She shared her talents with family and friends, and by donating quilts, mittens and lap robes to many organizations, including the Freedom Fire Department, Children's Hospitals, St. Elizabeth's, local dialysis centers, and the Salvation Army. She was a dedicated volunteer and received the Freedom VFW Ladies Auxiliary Community Service Award in 2013 in recognition of her volunteer efforts, including donating thousands of quilts!

Barb is survived by her children: Jim (Kathy) of Appleton; Jerry (Peggy) of Little Chute; Russ (Debbie) of Racine; Paul (Lori) of Shiocton; and Jeanne Bellin of Appleton; son-in-law, Alan Patera of Lake Oswego, Oregon; and grandchildren: Robert (Mandi) and Elizabeth Patera, Meghan (Steven) Lehl, Matt (Kate), Jillian, Katie, John, Jessica, Ben and Claire Weyers. Her many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive her.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband Frank; daughters, Margaret Patera and Mary Weyers; son Thomas; son-in-law Augie Bellin; her siblings, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

A funeral mass and celebration of her life will be held Monday May 12, 2014 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.
