Jack Spencer Obituary
Jack Nathan Spencer

Age 70, of New London, went to his eternal reward on Saturday, May 10, 2014. He was born on October 10, 1943, in New London, to Vernon and Lucille (Jensen) Spencer. Jack leaves behind his wife Sheryl, his only son Lance (Mel) Spencer; daughters Jessica, Katie and Alissa Beyer and two grandchildren Kalie and Tessa Spencer. Sadly, his newest granddaughter, who will be here shortly, will never be held in his strong and loving arms. Jack's other loved ones who survive him are his dear sweet mother, Lucille Spencer, and his 8 sisters: Dona Gabert, New London; Sharon (Glenn) Kluge, Hortonville; Nancy (Del) Jeffers, New London; Louwauana Brown, Florida; Bonnie Spencer, Appleton; Alice (Bob) Elsner, New London; Edith (Tom) Handschke, New London; Marsha (Rick) Waite, Clintonville. Jack is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. Jack was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Along with the loving help of his parents, he raised his son. He was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Army. It comforts his loved ones here on earth to know that he loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. His final wish is that he wanted all to believe and go to heaven at their appointed time. Today, in Jack's honor, hug your loved ones and tell them you love them. You never know when it will be the last time you see them here on earth. We thought we had more time, but God in His infinite wisdom said no and called him to rest in his heavenly home.

He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Spencer, and a brother Jerry Spencer.

A visitation for Jack will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London from 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Emanuel Lutheran Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Christian Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Rev. William Heiges will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery in New London, where there will be full military honors. A memorial fund has been established.
