Blankschien, Terry A.

Terry Allen Blankschien, age 57, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton.

Terry was born on May 2, 1957 in Clintonville, Wisconsin son of Vilas and Donna (Ewert) Blankschien. Terry was a 1975 Marion High School graduate and received his associate degree from Fox Valley Tech in auto mechanics.

On September 26, 1981 he was united in marriage to Pamela Olson in Caroline, Wisconsin. He was formerly employed with Cloud Buick of Appleton for several years, which then became Bergstrom Automotive, as an auto mechanic. Terry was then employed with Pierce Manufacturing for eight years and then retired due to his health. He enjoyed auto ice racing and Kaukauna WIR racing for years, also deer and turkey hunting. Terry truly enjoyed spending time in the woods.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Blankschien, Clintonville; aunts, Gladys Blankschien and Marilyn Blankschien, Clintonville; and Beverly Reinke, Appleton; brother-in-law, Tim (Linda) Olson, Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Mitala, Appleton; and Jean Soletske, Arizona; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Terry is further survived by good friends, Mike and Diane Pelky, Hortonville; and neighbors; Doris Dogs, and Shawn and Cindy Sargent, Greenville.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela in November of 2012, his father, in July of 2001, and his brother, Randy March of 1987. Also preceding him in death was a brother-in-law, Joe Mitala, uncles; Willard and Marlyn Blankschien and Marvin Ewert.

A memorial service will be held 1:00PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Valley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Craig Nehring officiating. Terry's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 Noon until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Caroline, Wisconsin.

A memorial fund is being established for the Martha Siekman Center.
