Stark, Peter R.

Peter R. Stark, age 66, of Appleton, died unexpectedly at his home on May 31, 2014. Peter was born in Appleton on November 17, 1947 to the late John J. and Marcella L. (Meidam) Stark. After completing high school, Peter proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy upon the U.S.S. Hancock during the Vietnam War. After military service, he worked at Copps, Shopko, American Fuel and Supply, American Distributing, and A.J. Chem - Dry. He was an avid Packer fan and a member of the Appleton V.F.W. and Legion Posts, and a member at Trinity Lutheran Church, Appleton.

He is survived by his sister, Kathryn Ely, Columbus, GA; brother, and James Stark, Gautier, MS. He is further survived by a niece and many nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marcella Stark.

A graveside service with full military honors will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
