Johnson, Vitalis M. "Vi"

Vitalis "Vi" M. Johnson, Little Chute, age 94, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014. She was born on January 9, 1920, in Little Chute, to the late Charles and Louise (Quinn) Wulgaert. Vi married Richard "Dick" Johnson on September 16, 1944 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

Vi was employed for many years at Gordy's Food Fair. She enjoyed square dancing and attending card club with her husband, Dick. She also enjoyed fishing while living at Lake Poygan. Vi most importantly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren in her most recent years.

She is survived by five children: Mary (Dennis) Schaefer, Kaukauna; Barb (Tom) Schiedermayer, Darboy; Patricia Seggelink, Virginia; Terry (Pat) Johnson, Little Chute; and Tim (Sherrie) Johnson, Little Chute; 21 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Jack Spierings; one sister, Gilda Hennes; one brother-in-law, Ivan Johnson; and one sister-in-law, Blanche (Louie) Vessel.

In addition to her parents, Vi is preceded in death by her husband, Dick and his parents Howard & Della Johnson; her daughter, Carol Spierings; her sister, Rella (Alfred) Collins; two brothers-in-law, Gordon Hennes and Jim Johnson; and two sisters-in-law, Betty (Vern) Houghton and Gloria Johnson.

Visitation will be held Monday June 9, 2014 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev.
