Stolla, Helen Margaret

Helen M. Stolla, 90, Neenah, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her home. She was born on November 6, 1923, in Swanville, MN, the 9th of ten children to Leo and Mary (Weiner) Urbanski. Helen was united in marriage to Edward J. Stolla on September 23, 1944, in Rothschild, WI. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1983. Helen loved art and was talented at water color painting, playing the piano, cooking, gardening, sewing, and decorating. She was a homemaker for much of her life, and enjoyed her time spent as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. Helen was employed with Memorial Florists & Greenhouses for twelve years and loved designing flower arrangements. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Parish, Neenah.

Helen is survived by two daughters: Kathleen (Wayne) Humski, Menasha; and Dianne (Stuart) Farnham, Ojai, CA; a son: James (Debbie) Stolla, Neenah; five grandchildren: Deb Zehner, Anthony (Nikole) Humski, Kristen (Brian) Reid, Taylor Farnham, and Brandon (Tina) Kramer; eight great grandchildren: Callie, Keaton, Noah, Rylee, Haylee, Julia, Jade, and Jordan; two brothers: Leo (Theresa) Urbanski, Palm City, FL; and Al Urbanski, Wausau, WI; her two closest friends: Betty Quinn and Barb Peterson, both of Neenah; many other relatives and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a great grandson: Evan; seven siblings: George, Emma, Edmond, Rose Berst, Rita Bukowski, Dolores Kamke, and Sam Urbanski.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions appreciated to Hortonville Community Food Pantry, P.O. Box 236, Dale, WI 54944.

Helen's family would like to say thank you to Sheila Scanlan and all the staff at Affinity Hospice for all their wonderful care. They would also like to express their gratitude to Helen's daughter-in-law: Debbie, for her loving compassion and care.
