Patricia Joanne Schrank, age 82 of Shawano, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her bedside on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at The Cottages in Shawano. Born on August 29, 1931 in Rozell, KS, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Sophia (Seltmann) Murphy. Patricia grew up and graduated high school in Kansas. In May of 1951 she married Ralph West and the couple moved to the Shawano area in 1966. After moving to Shawano, Patricia continued her education with an undergraduate degree from The University of WI Stevens Point and a master's degree from the University of WI Oshkosh. In 1976, Ralph preceded her in death. Lucky enough to have been loved by two great men, on August 26, 1990 Patricia was united in marriage to Arvin Schrank in Shawano. After nearly twenty five years, Patricia retired from teaching. In her free time she enjoyed traveling with Arvin. Their travels included Hawaii, Ireland, Alaska, Florida, Texas, Utah and New Mexico. Her patience and love of teaching will be remembered by many.
