Louis A. Haas, age 80, of Appleton, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 7, 1933, in Plain, WI to the late Ludwig and Esther (Ruhland) Haas. Louie graduated from UW-Madison and proudly served in the U.S. Army in Germany for two years. He retired in 1990 from Appleton Papers Inc. after working for 24 years.
Louie is survived by his brothers and sisters: Lorriane Burmeister, IN, Rita Ruhland, Spring Green, Ralph (Maxine) Haas, Spring Green, Kenneth (Gerry) Haas, IA, and Richard Haas, MN; and sister-in-law: Elsie Haas, Plain. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister Margaret; sister: Lucille Haas; brothers: La Verne Haas and Cletus Haas; brothers-in-law: Ernest Burmeister and Francis Ruhland; and sister-in-law: Louella Haas.
Entombment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund for the
