Phillips, Donald Francis "Don"

Donald F. Phillips, 85, Neenah, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Oakridge Gardens, Menasha. He was born on January 29, 1929, in Neenah, son of Ernest and Katherine (Hanagan) Phillips. Don was united in marriage to Joan K. Rickert on October 14, 1961, in Neenah. She preceded him in death on October 23, 2001. Donald was a dairy farmer his entire life until his retirement in 1990. He was a charter member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, Neenah, a member of the 4-H Club, and loved playing guitar.

Donald is survived by two sons: Dr. Randall (Elizabeth) Phillips, Fort Wayne, IN; Richard (Andrew Smith) Phillips, Neenah; three grandchildren: Tristan, Quinn, and Graham Phillips; three sisters: Rose Demeny, Patricia Grall, and Ramona (Rodney) Coughlin; three sisters-in-law: Margaret Phillips, Judy (Paul) Kolosso, and Mary Towsley; many other relatives and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother: Sylvester Phillips; three brothers-in-law: George Grall, Louis Demeny, Thomas (Geri) Rickert; one sister-in-law: Geri Rickert.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Donald's family would like to thank the staff at Oakridge Gardens, the staff at Rescare, especially Aislinn; and Heather with Affinity Hospice, for their wonderful care and compassion.
