Chapin, Emily Elizabeth

Emily Chapin, 94, Neenah, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Park View Health Center. She was born on June 13, 1920, in Berlin, WI. Emily was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Chapin, and he preceded her in death on July 19, 1992. She was a concert pianist and music educator. Emily owned and operated Chapin School of Music in Oshkosh and Neenah for numerous years. Emily also performed in a 13 part color TV Series with WFRV Channel 5, Green Bay. Emily's student's recitals/concerts were associated with benefits given to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, Fox Valley Humane Association, Larsen/Winchester Lions Club, Outagamie Chapter of the American Red Cross, Salvation Army Appleton, and Domestic Abuse Shelter.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Emily is survived by many good friends and countless students.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Pastor Levi Rocke officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be given to the Neenah Animal Shelter, 951 County Road G, Neenah, WI 54956.
