George Dedering passed away peacefully in Walnut Creek, Calif., on June 24. He will be missed for his caring approach, smiles, greetings and his great sense of humor. He was born in Neenah, Wis., on March 30, 1927. He graduated from Neenah High School, was a World War II Army veteran and graduated from Milwaukee Business School. He worked for American Can Company (Dixie Marathon) for over 30 years. He was transferred to Atlanta in 1971 and then to San Francisco in 1973. He also lived in Raleigh/Durham, N.C. and Reno, Nev. He moved back to California in 2002 and lived in Walnut Creek, Calif., until his death.

The son of George and Mabel Dedering was born seven years after his brother, Donald. He married Grayce, the love of his life in 1951; she preceded him in death from cancer in 1976. George is survived by his five children, Donna Jensen, Dan Dedering, Chris Dedering, Mary James and Tim Dedering, as well as his grandchildren Brett, Scott, Jason, Brian, Jonathan, Sydney, Graycie, Benjamin, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
