Mark Fredericks Obituary

Fredericks, Mark L.

Mark L. Fredericks, 55, Columbus, passed away at home with his family by his side after a brief, unexpected struggle with cancer on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. He was born on Dec. 11, 1956, in Oshkosh, to Herm and Lois (Peabody) Fredericks. He was a graduate of Denmark High School. Mark served in the U.S. Army. He was vice president of sales for Air Temperature Services, Madison, for over 20 years. Mark was passionate about experiencing all life had to offer; he was always up for an adventure, practical joke or traveling to different destinations. Mark's great sense of humor made him very successful in his sales career and people were drawn to his upbeat personality. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling or just working in the yard. Mark was an enthusiastic Packer fan, liked going to concerts and listening to music with friends around the fire. He treasured the time spent with family and others he loved.

Survivors include his three daughters, Morgan Fredericks, Milwaukee; Madelyn Fredericks and Margo Fredericks, both of Minneapolis; the love of his life, Katie Coppersmith and her children, Maggie, Sean, Sam and Charlie, all of Appleton; his father, Herm, Denmark, Wis.; two sisters, Sue (Mike) Luebke, Denmark, Wis.; and Peggy Seefeldt, Green Bay; one brother, Steve (Debbie), Denmark, Wis.; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois, and nephew, Shaun Luebke.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the Columbus United Methodist Church, Columbus. Pastor Floyd Laabs will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, and from 11 a.m. until noon at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to PAVE, Dodge County's service provider for those affected by domestic violence.
